HAMLET HOMES HONORS ITS TOP TRADE CONTRACTORS FOR 2005

SALT LAKE CITY (March 27, 2006) — Four building-trade contractors were honored March 21, at Hamlet Homes’ Annual Awards Banquet and were recognized for the significant role they play in Hamlet’s continued success and reputation for quality and value in northern Utah.  Award recipients included:
  • Professional Electrical Services — Trade Contractor of the Year
  • C & A Doors and Millwork — Supply Contractor of the Year
  • Shamrock Plumbing — Service Contractor of the Year
  • Peterson and Associates — Quality Contractor of the Year
According to Stan Larrabee, CEO of Professional Electrical Services and a two-year recipient of the Trade Contractor of the Year award, Professional Electrical has an eleven-year relationship with Hamlet Homes. “We enjoy working with Hamlet Homes and have been with them from the start,” he said. “It has been exciting to see the growth of Hamlet over these eleven years, and we are impressed by Hamlet’s vision of building great homes in communities next to TRAX, mitigating wetlands and being environmentally conscious.” Hamlet’s ability to build quality homes in 60 calendar days takes a significant level of collaboration between Hamlet employees and its trade contractors, according to John Aldous, president of Hamlet Homes. “We recognize that the work of our trade contractors is key to the quality of the product we produce for homebuyers in Utah,” he said. “Our annual awards ceremony is an opportunity to recognize those who have significantly contributed to our success. We are appreciative of all our trade contractors and the quality work they provide and look forward to working with them for many more years to come.” Aldous noted that Hamlet closed on 304 homes in 2005 and plans to sell 382 homes in 2006. Hamlet Homes currently operates in six communities along the Wasatch Front. They include Bear Hollow Village in Park City; Crofter’s Cove in Syracuse; Devon Glen in Springville; Inverness Square in Murray; Stoneleigh Heights in Draper; and The Maples in West Jordan. During 2005, Hamlet sold out three communities: Aberlour in Woods Cross, Birnam Woods in West Bountiful, and Farmington Ranches in Farmington. Hamlet Homes crafts quality, customer-driven homes—ranging from condominiums and townhomes to single family homes—located in attractively designed neighborhoods for homebuyers in northern Utah. Since the company’s founding in 1995, Hamlet Homes has developed more than 3,360 lots and constructed more than 2,250 homes in 33 communities. The company is continually striving to meet and exceed the expectations of its homebuyers and convey its motto of “Great Homes. Great People. Great Experience.” In 2004 and 2005, Hamlet was awarded the Builder of Integrity Award from the Quality Builders Warranty Corporation, and in 2003 and 2004, Hamlet was awarded Utah’s Best of State medal for residential construction. Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, Hamlet Homes is part of the Hamlet group of companies, which also includes Hamlet Development, Stirling Mortgage and Diversified Habitats.
