PARK CITY RACQUET CLUB PRESENTED AWARDS TO WINNERS OF THE HAMLET HOMES PARK CITY LABOR DAY TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Zach Ganger and Cinthia Saucedo win the Men’s and Women’s Open Divisions
PARK CITY, UTAH (September 5, 2006) — The Park City Racquet Club presented awards to Zach Ganger, 20, and Cinthia Saucedo, 21, who won the Men’s and Women’s Open tennis divisions during the Hamlet Homes Park City Labor Day tournament, August 30 – September 4. Tennis pro and Park City Racquet Club instructor, Eddie Merc, presented the awards at the USTA sanctioned event, which is its largest, local tournament of the year. Ganger defeated Nick Coutts in the Men’s Open championship match 6-4, 6-3, and Saucedo defeated Elizabeth Ferris in the Women’s Open championship 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. More than 230 adult Park City entrants played in 20 different divisions, including local tennis pros Eddie Merc and Lauren Kemp.
An avid tennis fan and wife of Michael Brodsky, CEO of Hamlet Homes, Susan Brodsky regularly plays at the Park City Racquet Club. Her involvement led Hamlet Homes to become a sponsor of the Racquet Club five years ago at the 2001 Labor Day tennis tournament. “The Park City Racquet Club is a wonderful facility where families and community members can enjoy a fun, healthy game of tennis,” says Brodsky. “It’s a place where everybody can be included and involved, whether playing the game or watching the tournaments.” Laurie Lambert, tennis operations supervisor at the Park City Racquet Club, adds, “A variety of local tennis participants, ranging from social players to college players, compete in the Hamlet Homes Park City Labor Day tournament each year.
