HAMLET HOMES FLEX SPACE ROWHOME MODEL NOW OPEN IN DAYBREAK’S SoDa ROW VILLAGE IN SOUTH JORDAN
MURRAY, UTAH (November 2, 2009) – This month Hamlet Homes’ opened the showcase model home in SoDa Row – named for the mixed-use commercial center of Daybreak, the SoDa Row Village Center (South Daybreak). The initial offering will include only 38 Flex Space rowhomes with prices starting in the low $200’s.
Hamlet Homes has been building single family homes and townhomes in the Daybreak community since 2006. In 2008 Kennecott Land recognized Hamlet Homes with their Outstanding Achievement and Corporate Commitment to Homeowner Satisfaction award and rated them #1 in Customer Satisfaction among the Daybreak community builders.
In a collaboration between Hamlet Homes, Kennecott Land, and Circle West Architects (based in Scottsdale, Arizona) a unique design was created that mimics portions of the commercial buildings, lending it a high-tech, cosmopolitan look while still providing exceptionally comfortable homes in which to live and work. The most interesting aspect of these rowhomes is the flex space created on the first floor. The first floor is designed to provide a space for a service oriented home occupation (possibly a graphic designer, writer, accountant, artist, attorney, therapist, realtor, etc.), a small retail shop or simply additional living space such as a bedroom.
According to David Irwin, Hamlet Homes’ VP of Sales & Marketing, “We are thrilled to be able to offer a home designed with entrepreneurs in mind, a place where they can live and work in comfort and convenience … a home just moments from the heart of Daybreak’s mixed-use center, a new community park and the future TRAX station.”
Four floor plans (the Bohemian, Mosaic, Digerati, and Cosmopolitan) are available; ranging in size from 1,830 to 1,967 square feet. These three-story homes each have a rear-entry two-car garage and customizable flex space on the first floor. The second and third floors are reserved for private living spaces and include two or three bedrooms (some with dual masters) and up to 3.5 baths. The main living level of each home has a private rear-facing deck and many homes also have front-facing balconies overlooking the business center.
“Each home has a variety of available options so homebuyers can put personal touches on their new homes,” says Irwin. “No matter how they plan to personalize—from flooring to cabinetry and lighting, and from countertops to appliances and faucets—Hamlet Homes will work with each homebuyer to provide the ideal home for them. And, they are all backed with a 10-Year Quality Builder’s Warranty (QBW).”
Why Flex Space?
Nearly 21 million Americans were self-employed in 2006 and in this economy more are likely to be added. Live/Work is the perfect option for buyers with home-based businesses such as graphic designer, computer programmers, artists, and accountants – allowing them the conveniences of working from home, avoiding the headaches of a daily commute, and possibly reducing expenses for separate office space and auto fuel. Live/Work is also a great idea for working professionals who want the option of telecommuting.
Imagine the convenience of walking from your home across the street to a sumptuous Mexican restaurant and then a quick walk down the block for a relaxing evening in the park – or taking the kids across the street for a gelato and then to the park for the afternoon –never having to get in your car. Hamlet Homes’ SoDa Rowhomes allow you to do just that.
The 68,000 square foot SoDa Row Village Center has five uniquely designed buildings that are each built to LEED Gold standards and are located across from Oquirrh Lake at 4709 Daybreak Parkway. Current businesses include: Black Diamond Gymnastics and Sports Center providing gymnastics, dance, cheer, martial arts and much more; San Gelato Café an Italian café; Tio’s Mexican Restaurant serving lunch and dinner; Oopsie Daisy a children’s boutique; Classic Cleaners an environmentally sensitive cleaner; Guy’s Barbershop a traditional one-chair barbershop; and Zion’s Bank, which will build a free standing bank adjacent to SoDa Row and across from Daybreak Corporate Center. Additional tenants are to be announced over the coming weeks and will include several restaurants, shops and services.
Home buyers can visit the sales center in Daybreak located at south of SoDa Row Village on Daybreak Rim Way. For additional information about the Hamlet Homes SoDa Rowhomes contact Brad Cherry at 801-506-9744 or visit www.hamlethomes.com.
