MURRAY, Utah — Hamlet Companies has announced the promotion of Jon Southern to Vice President of Construction. Since joining Hamlet Homes in 2004, Southern has served as Production Supervisor, Homebuilding Manager and most-recently as Director of Construction. In the Director and VP positions he oversees and directs all of Hamlet Home’s building activities. In 2006, Southern was named the Supervisor of the Year for Hamlet Homes for closing 74 homes representing more than $14 million in revenue. In 2014, he received a Production Award for total overall production volume of nearly $7 million.
Southern currently serves on the board of directors for the Salt Lake Home Builders Association. After attending BYU’s Construction Management Program, Southern began his career in the construction industry in 1996, working 11 years as a framer and framing supervisor for a general contractor.
