Hamlet Homes Grand Opening for Tobermory Ridge July 1st

Hamlet Homes marks 20 years of building attractive, well-designed communities in Salt Lake County HOLLADAY, UT – Hamlet Homes (www.hamlethomes.com) will showcase its newest townhome community, Tobermory Ridge in Holladay, with a Grand Opening celebration and tours of a model home, Friday and Saturday, July 11 and 12 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Easily accessible from Van Winkle and 1300 East, the entryway to Tobermory Ridge is on Spring Lane (approximately 5000 S.) just east of 1300 East on the south side of the lane. “Tobermory Ridge provides homebuyers with a rare opportunity to purchase a new home in Holladay, a long-established East Bench community that has very little new home construction,” said John Aldous, President of Hamlet Homes. “As Hamlet Homes celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2014, Tobermory Ridge – our 37th community – perfectly reflects the beautifully designed residences that have been our company’s hallmark since 1994. Tobermory Ridge is also a particularly great value within the City of Holladay. We welcome homebuyers to join us for the Grand Opening and see for themselves.” Hamlet broke ground on the Tobermory Ridge model home in April 2014 and has pre-sold two of the community’s 24 three-story townhomes. Starting prices range from $319,990 for the 2,480 sf Elvin floor plan to $334,990 for the 3,327 sf Morgan plan. The spacious, upscale townhomes include a two-car garage, full landscaping, stucco exterior and 30-year architectural shingles. The Tobermory Ridge community has wonderful views of Mt. Olympus. Interior features include rounded wall corners, satin nickel hardware, Whirlpool appliances, granite countertops, Shaw carpeting, Delta washerless faucets and an optional deck off the dining room. Both floor plans offer three bedrooms with an additional loft in the Morgan plan, master bedrooms with tray ceilings, standard Granite countertops, large his and hers walk-in closets, 2 1⁄2 baths, and a second floor laundry room. For the unfinished lower level, homebuyers have the option of adding a fourth bedroom, bath and family room or a large family room and bath. Homebuyers will enjoy long-term, energy savings in the townhome’s 90% high-efficiency furnace, central air conditioning with a 13 Seer rating, programmable set-back thermostat, 2 x 6-foot exterior walls, low-E windows, Energy Star appliances, and a Passive Radon Abatement System. Each home is also pre-wired for future solar panel installation. Tobermory Ridge is conveniently located off the Van Winkle Expressway offering quick access to the south via I-215 and to downtown via 700 East. Less than a mile from Creekside Park, the Creekside Place Shopping Center, Cottonwood Country Club and Macy’s Cottonwood store, Tobermory is also close to the Intermountain Medical Center, Old Mill Golf Course and new Holladay Village Center at the intersection of Holladay Boulevard and Murray Holladay Road. THE NAMING OF TOBERMORY RIDGE

Hamlet Homes has a tradition of naming its communities after Scottish people and places. The town of Tobermory was established in 1788 and created by the British Fisheries Society on the western coast of Scotland on the Isle of Mull. Tobermory derives its name from the Gaelic ‘Tobar Mhoire’ meaning the well of Mary. Mary’s Well and Mary’s Chapel dated back to the Medieval period, and the water from the well was said to possess medicinal properties. Both the well and chapel are gone but a monument was erected on the approximate site of the well in commemoration of Edward VII’s coronation. When the town created a deep water pier in 1864, Tobermory became an important business port and historic vacation destination.
