Hamlet Homes promotes Preston Hawkes to Architectural Manager
Hawkes will now oversee the Architectural Department and Draftsmen which provides Hamlet Homes with its home drawings, floorplans and works with third party providers for home structure and engineering. Preston Hawkes has worked for Hamlet Homes for 3 years as a Draftsman. “Preston is one-of-a-kind. His knowledge and attention to detail is some of the best in the business. We are lucky to him on our team. He is always seeking the best out of everyone around him and we enjoy his creative sense-of-humor around the office,” says Barry Gittleman, Hamlet Homes President & COO. Preston has spent much time in the building industry for a large portion of his career to date.
He has drawn lines for various companies for the last 15 years. He has experience drafting for various residential, commercial, and educational type projects. While taking a break from residential construction he detailed steel building from 2008 till 2016. During that time, he detailed over a million tons of steel with such quality that people gave him a plaque for his wall. Preston is excited to be back in the home building industry and looks forward to many years of making houses exist. Preston is an amateur machinist, failed gopher hunter, and food mad scientist. He plays the guitar middling well. #
