Rock the Block Season 6: Loft Dreams and Stairs with Style!

Episode 4 brought the fun in a big way, and a few surprises, too! This week, it was all about the Loft Area and Stairs, and for the first time ever on Rock the Block, the designers judged each other’s spaces. Talk about pressure!
It was hilarious (and honestly, pretty adorable) to watch them try to sneak little glimpses into each other’s homes without giving too much away. The tension, the curiosity, the side-eyes…it was all pure gold.
To make things even more interesting, the teams had to play PLINKO to determine their room themes, and when they opened their giant crates to reveal their design elements, you could feel the scramble to pull it all together. Each space ended up being completely different, totally unique, and super creative, especially considering they didn’t know what they were designing until the very last minute!
A little behind-the-scenes tidbit:
You might notice a sudden wardrobe change in this episode. Up until this day, we had been blessed with nearly 80-degree weather well into October while filming. But of course, the day the teams played PLINKO and received their room themes, the weather dropped about 40 degrees overnight! Suddenly, it was full-on Utah chill, and the entire production crew (about 80 people strong!) got a brisk welcome to real Utah fall weather. One minute? Tank tops. The next? Coats and hoodies. (Utah keeps you on your toes.)
Now, let’s talk about the incredible spaces:
The Kalamas took home the win, and it’s easy to see why! They stayed true to their Hawaiian roots with a gorgeous plant wall that creates a wow moment the second you step inside. Plus, they brought the heart of Hawaii, the importance of family, right into the design by creating an adorable, cozy kids’ space. It’s playful, heartwarming, and perfectly tied into their overall vision.
But the other teams weren’t far behind:
Jonathan and Jordan created a private spa room that feels like pure luxury. Honestly, I’ve spent a little extra time relaxing in there myself after some of those long filming days, it’s that soothing!
Michele and Alison dreamed up the ultimate workspace, ideal for crafting, homework, studying, or just curling up with a good book. Plus, the massive artwork framing their staircase adds the perfect dramatic entry to the space.
Chelsea and Cole built a gamer’s paradise that any teenager would love, complete with fun country-inspired details all along the stairway that stayed true to the vibe of their home.
